RULES

No timeouts
2030-2033 Divisions:
12v12 Full field play
Checking rules per division, detailed below
Free position shots - If there is a foul in the 8M where a free position shot is awarded and the final whistle of the half or game has been blown, the free position shot will NOT BE TAKEN since Ghost Games is not a championship event.
2034-2035 Divisions:
Format:
8v8 (7v7 plus a goalie)
2-3-2 format
The half is the restraining line – 2 players must hold behind the half line
Draws:
Start of the first and second half
After every 3 goals
Pass rule: 1 pass/attempted pass must be made before shooting.
Goalie clears do not count as a pass.
Clears: Free clear from the goalie below half-field ONLY
Our small-sided fields will have an 8M for teams to implement offensive spacing and defensive positioning. All fouls will be indirect, no 8 meters
If there is a shooting target:
Shot must be in the air - a goal cannot be scored by rolling the ball under the shooting target
When there is not a draw, a field player may enter the crease to clear out the ball
Checking per USA lacrosse rules
2030 & 2031 = Full checking
2032 & 2033 = Modified checking - permits a player to use their stick to make controlled contact to the ball carrier’s stick if the contact (and checking motion) is below the shoulder and away from the body. There will be no 3 seconds good defense called.
2034 & 2035 = 3 seconds good defense, NO checking
Alternating Possession (AP): The first AP goes to the first team listed in the binder/schedule, and then any additional APs will alternate between teams.
Game officials will use their discretion if there is a question regarding a rule.
